Preparing Razzle for Finland

Mar 06, 2017 13:47

He goes to the vet tomorrow...

Does getting a microchip make them feel crappy?

We also have to get Razz his rabies vaccination at the same time, apparently we have a choice one or three year dosage... anyone know or have an opinion which is better for him?

Bronagh is taking him to OMD international Week in May for ten days. Or that is the operating plan. He is currently having some fear issues we are working on that might come into play with strangers having to approach/handle his crate for flights and the trip is in two hops with flight changes so handling twice each way :/ B of course has a working spot, but she plans to go even if we decide better for Razz not to go. If he does go, I may try to swing an audit adventure... in any case we are going ahead as if, working with Leslie McDevitt, giving him coping skills, hoping this air travel won't be too stressful..: that's the story of that

The microchip smarts a bit sometimes going in, but shouldn't bug them much after. I like the 3-year vaccines because that way I don't have to give them as often. I don't know if the law is the same where you are but in Michigan they require the three year after the dog is more than 1 year old.

I thought he would be a wimp but he was such a good boy. Of course I was feeding him fried chicken the whole time. And yep. Three year. Thanks

The one and three year rabies vaccine is exactly the same thing. Give the three year.

Thanks. That's what We did. He was a good boy! He was worried about the lady in the white coat and what was going to happen to him in this place THIS time. But I had fried chicken! And he knows the vet tech well so then for chip and rabies both, he was a pro.
