The Pink Elephant in the Room

So Pride Week in Toronto is upon us, and in between making haphazard plans to get together for some gay fun I've been faced with bit of a dilemma. Well, not really a dilemma. More of a really, really awkward situation that's just going to get worse as time progresses, but one that I'm too lazy/scared to do anything about. I lead two very different ( Read more... )

Since when are you a lesbian? I thought you were bisexual? Did that change? If I were you I'd just stick with the ladies. Men are pigs.

My opinion is that you should tell your mom, and see where to go from there. Ask her if she thinks you should tell your dad. You'll probably feel a lot better after you get it off your chest. I say you walk up and say "Mom, I have something to tell you. I'm dropping out of school to raise the twins I'm having with Ernie, the Jamaican migrant worker I met last month....JUST KIDDING! I'm a lesbian."

Do it.

And call me if you need someone to talk to. God knows I'm always home.

I know it's hard but ultimately you have to be yourself... if you hide it'll make you feel like you have something you need to be ashamed of... and that's just not the case.

Sorry we couldn't meet up this weekend :(

Congrats on coming out, dude. Somehow I think they know something's up, and I've been dropping queer hints left and right, so it probably won't come as a huge shock when I finally drop the gay bomb. I'm more concerned about how they'll deal with the whole bisexual/equal-opportunity slut concept. People usually have problems when it comes to things that don't fit neatly into categories.

I like your analogy. But how would the law of "whoever smelled it, dealt it" fit in?

Shame you didn't tell me about this little trip earlier. I could've give you the keys to my apartment so you could save a little cash. Oh well...

As for cool places to hit in Montreal, here's a brief list.

DrinkingIf you're going to hit Crescent St., at least have the decency to stay south of Ste.-Catherine. There's Brutopia and Hurley's, both decent pubs. I believe Monday night is trivia night at Brutopia. You can also wander a little further west and hit Bishop St., which is Irish pub central ( ... )

I know I have tons of family over there (Italians are like rabbits), but I've never met them so I guess I'm in no position to offer accomodation there. Maybe in a few years, when my grandparents drag me over there and introduce me to every nice Italian boy they can find...
