please rate these two life ideas (for me) on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being 'it's perfect', 1 being 'this idea sucks eggs'.

MOVING TO L.A. AND TRYING TO WRITE FILMS.

wait, why? i thought the film idea was kind of dumb, but the tv sitcom thing woudl totally make sense as a) even though i secretly hate it, TV is my best friend, i love it, i grew up on it, my favorite tv shows are in order 1) rags to riches, 2) saved by the bell 3) charmed, 4) livin single 5) martin 6) small wonder 6) out of this world (oh my god has anyone sen pictures of evie all growed up, what the fuck, how old AM i? plus b) i am FUN-E but dont get to show it in my corproate work environment and certainly dont want to douche out and say, im going to perform in front of an audience as a comedian because jesus 1) i am not funny like that and 2) comedians=suck. my sens eof humor is more for smart chinese girls who dont speak english and also undersexed old white women.) i thik also sunshine would be nice and i look really good in shorts despite my pale legs and knobby knees, acrually because of those. plus yes, i need to a) not shave and b) wear jeans and cute tshirts at work. and also, suck it?

my friend jenny--the Korean girl with the hot boyfriend you once hit, jon's best friend, remember--she was absolutely made for La. She loved the industry. loved television and movies and knew the inside out of almost every pop show, a veritable imdb database. she picked up and move out there and scored a great job but has recently decided to come back to new york, in pursuit of academia. why? the same reason why LA will grate on your nerves: the "industry" is all anybody ever talks, eats, breathes, and waxes poetic about, seriously. she couldn't stand it. she of all people! you get wrapped up in a world of People and ET. You of all people ned high brow as well as low brow and it will disappoint you to no end. you will start a riot. i can see you doing sitcoms though so i def support the writing but in terms of a lifestyle. you will be soured by it.

do it.
fucking do it. i'd try sitcom over film.

i mean, at least try it - you can always go back to something else. my bestfriend is currently out there writing for national lampoon tv and radio. he loves it. he says people are stupid but if they respect you, theyll do anything for you and its easy to trick people into thinking whatever you want them to think. i dont know - it seems fairly awesome in some ways. i mean, maybe not forever but i can see you enjoying it at least for a bit. if you really hate it or dont suceed, so what? youve tried it and man, you can always move back. if you do succeed, you could end up doing really well for yourself.

Wow, life advice, i love it. i have zero to no interest in writing films mostly because everybody just seems to take themselves so fucking seriously. whereas, how seriously could you take yourself if you were writing for moesha? on a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is like the guy in the cafeteria who eats cheetos he takes OUT OF HIS UNDERPANTS and ten is like, osama bin laden, i'd say like a 3 ( ... )

no that's exactly what i was saying! that you DO have all the qualities that make sitcom writers. but, eventually, you would turn in to a douche. or maybe a psychopath. because the industry just eeks away at people like you and makes them totally crazy. if you can really just do it for a little while and not get sucked in to it and not let it totally ruin you life than do it. i've seriously known at least 5 or 6 sitcom writers who turn in to ridiculous freaks after awhile though. so i'm WORRIED. so yea. i don't know. maybe you'd like it.
