I am satisfied with improving my culinary skills. I am slowly traveling around the dial of dishes. I have strongly attached myself to the soup/stew sector, but mostly because it's winter. I am very ill. I'm the sickest I've been in a number of years, not including drinking-sick. High fever, stomach aches, head aches 24/7. And yet the thing that occupies my mind during most of my solitude is a strange and overwhelming craving for junk food - in paticular potato chips - and reading Beartato all day does not diffuse my desires. I went to his place for dinner: he met me in front of the dorms and we walked to his apartment. He served left overs from Thanksgiving. Mashed potatoes, cooked vegetables, his special cranberry relish. He also made some ravioli to fill in for the missing entree. Beer was our libation ( Read more... )
