I ate at Spat's Cafe today. I got chicken on cornbread dressing. Oh good lord. It was amazing. Bob got some pasta dish with crawdads and crab. I wish I had gotten that instead, it was even more amazing.

My greatest fear in life is that I will not eat everything I want to. That, and getting mauled by birds. No, really.

I started sobbing on my way back to State College today. I was listening to "Sin City" by the Essex Green and watching the countryside farms. Old crumbling barns brushing shoulders with new, nestled in rolling hills. The tops of some trees had vivid red bursts. The tree lined streams and gravel roadways. Melancholy over with. Something about being in my childhood home that makes me start brooding again. I've been having lots of nightmares, picking up where all my childhood nightmares left off. one week down in the bus tour extravaganza. so far i've been to: SLC, denver, lincoln nebraska, chicago, memphis, oxford and now i'm sitting in my dad's house in boalsburg, pa, chugging away on his dialup (!!) connection. it's been a nice time so far, but the slow down of actually staying with people and spending real time with friends has me ( Read more... )
