RIP, "Special" Ed Scissorhands, 1997-2008.

Ed passed away yesterday while I was at work, from a heart attack, which was a complication of a larger, bigger problem we never got to solve for him. I wish I had been there when he died, but have small comfort knowing I cancelled a trip to NY, in the event something would happen while I was away--I would have felt doubly worse

thank-you. I know he would love that. Especially low flying pigeons. He was fond of snatching them through the small opening of a window.

I'm very sorry to hear it. He was quite something, that food stealing, endearingly sweet, excessively meowsome, strangely delightful cat.

But I (kinda) know you, and I know what losing someone like that, close as only "those certain cats" can be, is like.

we had high hopes for him, but unfortunately UC Davis couldn't be bothered to answer their emails and voicemails concerning getting him in to see a specialist.
