And in the parallel dimension from whence they came and report from, I'm sure that's true. :P

Was not seen in alot of school's because teacher's / facilty did not feel a political speech was part of their ciriculium. My mother's school (she teaches 5th grade, felt this way and didnt show the video speech)

However I do live in the Bible belt in a republican state with alot of older generation's dominating this state.

Our whole school listened to it, although I don't think this is really a surprise as we are an urban school. I really thought it was a great speech as well.

The funny thing to me is that the content of the speech was the exact same thing that teachers already tell their students every day. "Try your best, never give up, reach for your dreams, etc." He didn't even say anything even remotely political. If anything it should be better for kids to hear a message like that from the President, instead of from the teachers they already have to put up with every day.

Now the right looks like idiots for pushing their "death panel" rhetoric onto an education speech. Obama's gonna indoctrinate them kids into lernin' with books and such. So far the fear tactics have been literally unstoppable and it hasn't even been a year yet. Even the birthers are still at it. I say Obama shouldn't show his birth certificate just to keep them scrambling. Now just last night a senator from S.C. called Obama a liar when he said that the health care wouldn't apply to illegal immigrants. Now, whether it is going to be true or not, the president says it isn't going to happen so at least for now, STFU about it and don't shout out garbage like that in a respected address to the congress. This isn't one of your town hall meeting where you can act the fool.
