Another question about my prodromal labor/cpntractions...

If the baby is not in the right position making progress unable to happen, what do you do? What do the doctors do and when do they do it? Do they jsut let you keep having contractions and hope for the best or do they eventually call enough is enough and take more dramatic measures.
