"I wear this state like a war wound." That's probably the best description of MN I've ever heard by a former resident. I do the exact same thing after attending college up there - I exaggerate how cold it was and how hot and muggy the summers...and I do so like it's a point of pride that I survived four years there. I went my entire first year of law school in Denver in tshirts just to prove it wasn't colder than MN.

Ahem, Minnesota doesn't suck. Winter sucks. Two different things indeed. I welcomed the site of Minneapolis outside of my plane window after visiting that weirdo creepy town in Oregon. In the battle of Minnesota and Oregon, Minnesota wins. At least here the ocean doesn't make you go crazy.

I don't know if you know this, but 2/3rds of the year, Minnesota IS winter.
And I covered the other 1/3 by speaking to its many insect infestations. LAME LAME LAME.

But you're right--in a battle between minnesota and oregon, minnesota wins hands down in my pants!!! (I know you love that shit.) At least the people in minnesota are cool even if the weather sucks ass. Oregon is some creepy shit. I'm glad you experienced it too.
