Oh yeah, I am heading out to do some work. Right after I finish pricing Steele 1999 Sangiacomo Pinot Noir on the internet. If only I had fallen in love with one of the $5 bottles

i love yours and bonnie's olive madness. we have an olive bar down the street in the snob deli, and i just stare at the olives, not knowing which to pick.
and aren't pimentoes sometimes fake? or is that just an urban myth?
After careful consideration of you question about pimentoes (hah, I looked it up in my book), I have discovered that you are correct! They dye and flavor lots of similar vegetables to look like red pepper (pimentoes). Even more horrifying, most black olives in America are fake! Apparently the American palate is not fond of the strong flavors of REAL black olives so they get green ones and DYE THEM BLACK!!! Motherfuckers!!!!
And, are you talking about Carmine's? I'd be so jealous if you were talking about THAT particular snob deli. I adore every snobby, overpriced corner of that store. Although it is disgustingly snooty ala Palm Beach style. And their yummy food in the restaurant being served by rude, hot Italian men. Nothing so hip looking here. I think New Englanders have an aversion to making cool food places that look trendy and exciting. Pretentious morons, I need pretty boxes to house my food, not ugly clear bags!!
Whoa! That's a shitload of work! I feel sooo much better now about the amounts that I have amassed for myself. Not because my pain loves company but because it's inspiring to think that it can be done. I desperately need to believe it can be done... I have as much if not more, although spread out over six lovely subjects...
