Quick stupid comment. Last month I was reading about new work done in tracking down the cause of deja vous. They determined that it might occur when you see something in your peripheral vision and then look directly at it a moment later. I've just tossed my main character over a cliff. Literally. So I need to know, what depth would it be surprising to hear that someone survived with only a broken leg & arm, but not too impossible?
