Who: Adam and Heiji
Where: Dissimulo
When: 1 am
Rating: K+ to T
Summary: Adam has a nightmare and leaves the house.
The Log: ( What‘s your greatest fear? )
Heiji wasn't much of a heavy sleeper to begin with, and since his arrival here, his habits only grew lighter. He easily stirred from his sleep when someone in the house woke up and ran off. He narrowed it to Adam since he knew who slept where and based it from where the noise came from. Even at home such activity wouldn't get by him. Even less here. The Japanese detective took his blade in one hand and followed outside shortly after.
Dissimulo wasn't very large so it didn't take very long for Heiji to track Adam down. "What's wrong?" Came his first words. His grip around the hilt tightening. He wasn't anticipating them being attacked, but he was on guard nevertheless. You could never be too sure here.
Adam was still in fight-or-flight mode and turned around quickly, arm raised to attack but stopped when he saw Heiji standing there. "Shit, don't do that! I nearly got you!" he exclaimed with that same worrysome expression on his face.
He probably could have, but somehow, that was the least of his worries. His disregard for it only proving as such. Heiji did a brief scan around them. "Did ya see somethin'?"
"No, not out here." the ranger replied, trying to make his face appear more neutral. "I just needed some air, that's all." he added. To be honest, he didn't want to tell the teen about his nightmare. It was his personal demons at work and he wanted it to stay that way. Plus, Adam wasn't sure if Heiji would even believe him despite the situation.
"Go ahead and go back inside. I'll be fine out here."
