I have been having a torrid & tawdry affair w/the Diet Coke, to the point where I went to Ingles & picked up, not even on sale, a 12-pack of the stuff to get me through that slump between 3 and 5 everyday when I just want to die ( Read more... )

We had an event at school a couple of weeks ago and a guy asked me for a Diet Coke. Then he went on to tell me he doesn't drink it very often. He said a friend of his drank like 8 a day for years then got kidney cancer from all the aspartame.

i like every once in a while for a little change from water, my usual beverage of choice. i like the new DC w/ a lime twist, but it's always sold out in the machine at Publix.

Well...eight a day....Eight a day of anything'll kill you. It is still scary though. Make no mistake: No more DC after the one that I've got stashed in my fridge. No more. I'm thinking of taking up heroin though.
