I am knee-deep in the crime. Supposedly before I leave today I will write four crime stories. Here's the lead on the first one:
The Brevard man behind bars for hiring someone to break into his house and assault his sister is now also charged with trying to convince the same man to murder his wife.
I mean damn.

Covered my first high-speed chase today! Mostly it consisted of following a wrecker down a long, winding, dead end mountain road only to find we were both on the wrong road. Got to call the police department several times for the suspects name & have the woman answering the phone be quite bitchy to me, and hang up without getting said information. ( Read more... )

Hard to believe now that it’s a relatively balmy 42 degrees out right now, but everything was iced over this morning, including my trusty Mazda. There was a lot of ice on my windshield, and the defroster didn’t do the trick in time, considering I was already running late. Deadmoviestar is gone to a conference...I miss him already. The girls know when he's gone we will all sleep in the big bed together, which is fun but also scary because they tend to kick me in the back most of the night.

I just saw where they were considering lifting the ban on gay rabbis. Except I'm rushing around here trying to get lots done so I read it as lifting the ban on gay rabbits. For a half-second I got all affronted on behalf of rabbits everywhere, not having realized they weren't allowed to be homosexual.

Claire is home with me, using the extra computer to plumb the depths of nickjr.com video games in the last days before school starts. The only music is her singing to herself and laughing with glee as she vanquishes chickbots and other e-destroyers.
