It was a good shift. it really was. Calming for some strange reason. Never really thought that 8+ hours in the ed could be calming, especially since I was covering Major Multi-Purpose and Trauma, but it really was. It’s been a weird sort of month - actually a weird sort of 4 months. I’m now working full time at the hospital as well as taking assorted classes, and thankfully still singing. It’s a really busy existence but one that I’m not entirely fed-up with having. The only thing is though, I miss eating “real” food. I mean, I am living at home this semester ( Read more... )

I love being on break. So rejuvenating.

This last month and a half - more actually, more like the entire semester or so has been more than kind of crazy. Completely eye-opening, but completely crazy.

Later half of TCFI rehearsal on Sunday was phenomenal. We really worked “Only the Good Die Young” really heard and took it from being an absolute train-wreck to being performable tomorrow.

Somehow when I turned 19 I felt considerably older but then reverted back to normal when I got back into the groove of brandeis. Never felt that way on my birthday before. Oh well. Day of doom:

Turn off light at 12am
Fall asleep sometime around 1am
Wake up every hour pretty much on the hour until 6am
Toss and turn 6-7am
Watch two episodes of “Lost” 7-9am
Class 10am-2pm
Study, study, study 2 - 5pm
Incredibly frustrating and difficult voice lesson 5-6pm
Dinner 6-7pm
Calc exam 7-9pm

Last week is finally over and this week has begun. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that we can start all over again at the end of each week.

And I have to say, this week has been very good - disregarding the last bit of Sunday night.

So happy to be back on campus.

Break was overall fantastic and relaxing, but it’s just so good to be back.

It’s kind of funny how fast people revert back to there old rhythms even after being away for so long. I know I did.

It’s been a very productive day for me. I am proud of myself.
