Oh look. I have not written here in a while. Big bloody surprise. My ego is not big enough to feel comfortable updating about everything going on in my life, yet too big to allow myself to delete this electronic voicebox. And so we go on

Adam is sitting right here and says, "She was very sweet. She didn't say much, though. But she was very sweet!"

I liked her too. I think I talked to her a little more than Adam did. She seemed like someone I would befriend. How did you guys meet?? (Adam says, "We know it wasn't in 'Nam, that's for sure.")

Well, we've both seen each other in and around Barnes & Noble for some time, and I think she collaborated on some music project briefly with people that I know, but we actually officially met at Shakespeare's, where I was sitting with some friends from B&N and she was there to meet up with someone else. She just sat down and started talking with us like she knew everybody, and we hit it off.

I've been recommending The Book Thief to everyone lately. It's become one of my favorite books.

we are thinking of using the "california one" part of that song as our first dance song. it's one of those songs that seems to follow us everywhere.
