Thanks! I hope I do, too. I paid for four classes in advance when I was at the studio on Saturday as a way of making sure that I stick with it for at least a month. Hopefully by then I'll be addicted to dance and will continue to go.

Two of our producers go out to get lunch nearly every day. I could never do that. That would probably run me close to $40 a week. Yikes. The burrito place they go to is great, though.

Eeek. Yeah, $40 a week would be about right for me, too. Two of my co-workers in my department go out to lunch every day. I think most of the people in the other department go out every day. *shivers* And some of them go for sit-down meals most days.

Wow. That must put a dent in the wallet.

I've been dining out a good bit the last few days, but that's because I'm on vacation. I met stealthemg for Thai for lunch on Friday, and picked up the tab, since my flight was delayed 3 hours Thursday night/Friday morning, and she picked me up. That night, I met up with friends for dinner (sushi). Saturday night, we went to a 24-hour Mediterranean restaurant after the concert (falafel, really good). So I've been spending a bit more than usual on food...

I have the same reaction to watching others go out to eat every single day - especially one of my old co-workers who was thousands of dollars in debt and 150lbs overweight who spent ten dollars at McDonald's every. damn. day.

This list makes me happy. It sounds like a good week.

Ten dollars a DAY at McD's?? Was she ordering, like, three desserts along with her meal? Or stopping by more than once a day?

He would come back with multiple gigantic burgers, large fries, maybe some chicken mcnuggets, dessert, of course, and a very large soda - not diet, I'm sure.

Oh, I wouldn't doubt that it IS a diet soda...I worked in McDonald's for a while in hs, and you wouldn't believe how many people would buy a shitload of grease, and ask for a diet drink, or better yet, a water. I'd be like, hell, go wild! If you're gonna get all that, why not just go all the way?

Ah, those were the days...

I do the same sort of thing you do in that I'll go out once a week for lunch and bring in food the rest of the time. I have a difficult time with lunch food most of the time because I don't really like a lot of 'cold' meals (I don't like subs or most sandwiches). Most of the time I bring in peanut butter crackers, some sort of fruit, and some yogurt, but it's almost never enough to last me until 5. I just don't know what else to bring in.

Plus, yay Office! I watched all of Season 3 again a month or so ago and I really can't wait for Season 4 to begin.

Eating out is a huge pitfall for journalists, because of our crazy schedules. I've always made a big effort not to do that, except consciously planned for the occasional treat. Too easy to simply dash across to McD's or Blimpie's, and it all adds up...both financially and calorically.

Re: dance -- I didn't know you took lessons before!

One of our photogs is notorious for loving to go to Krystal's...

I think producers are the exception to journalists who go out to eat... since we're usually sitting at our desks. Except for my co-workers who manage to go out all the time..

Yep, there's a mall with an expansive food court across from my office, so it's just too easy to use that as an excuse to go out for lunch. Must resist!

I took dance lessons when I was a wee thing. I was hoping that when I went back to a dance class, all my previous dance knowledge would just pop back into my head, but, ummm, no.

I did too, one of those combo classes that tries to expose your child to a variety of things so they can figure out what they like and are good at.

Unfortunately, I was something of a pudgy child, and none too graceful, either. I can't even recall if I finished the six-week session :-/
