b12 is great. I suggest sublingual (dissolve under tongue) since many folks have trouble assimilating it through the digestive track. Cheap stuff at trader joes (or used to be) not as cheap, but pharmaceutical grade an higher dosage, at http://www.lef.org/Vitamins-Supplements/Item00537/Methylcobalamin.html kg just started taking it...
