Ah, so *that's* why we got the chicken! The joke was lost on me, because I have a pretty high tolerance for spicy food (I obviously eat too much of it!), so I just thought it was nicely hot and didn't even notice we'd lost our water jug :-)
I had a bit too much of the spicy chicken and felt a desperate need for liquid to quench the flames. I drank everything on our table, and then went around and drained the last few drops of the water jug at the other.
And because I'd really enjoyed the chicken, I decided to share it with the other table. I didn't think, not for a moment, that anybody would actually eat it, not after seeing the smoke pouring out of my ears and from between the clenched teeth of my mischievous smile.
Seeing the whales in such a magnificent setting was another highlight. I'd best get cracking and write up my own blog. Wonderful videos of Manu and Tutu, by the way, and the dolphin videos give a bit of the atmosphere - there were dolphins everywhere, hundreds of then jumping out of the water all around. What a buzz!

Firstly, you are one clever kid when your fingers get active on your camera. Certainly gives a good idea of the adventures on the water. The videos are great. Can't support your comments vis a vis SI v NI. You've obviously not spent enough proper touring time in the North - and it has the benefit of not freezing one's bits off! But, where are the animals on which the economy of the SI depended for its development? Do thosse dark glasses make you look a bit like your Mum? As for the pj's. If you've worn them as often in the last 5 years as you have in these 5 days it is a total miracle that they've lasted this long. Are they travelling around the world with you?

Thanks for the compliment!! There are some good ones, but quite a few got left out - I'm no good at capturing the beauty sometimes!
I've seen a bit of the North Island, and still love the South Island more - much more my thing with mountains and ocean and not many people! You just need a cool hat like mine to keep warm :D And it's not a hardship at all to wear that!!
Glasses do make me look like my mum a bit...will have to find a pic to compare too!
Haven't worn those pjs that often in the last 5 years - were too big for ages but I put some more elastic in them to take to the con! Def taking them overseas with me!
