Ah, I can definitely understand all this. My boyfriend did a long distance relationship for one year before I moved down here in February... longest year ever. Every fiber of my being told me to just leave everything and pack my bags and run to him, but I stuck it out. We feel like it's only made us stronger, and we for sure do not take seeing each other every day, waking up together every morning, for granted.
Even though I'm still trying to find a job with the hours I need and there's a huge amount of stress in our world right now, we wouldn't change anything, I would not have put off the move one more day.
if you can afford to do it, I'd put the 2 weeks in on friday and see if your dad can get you an early flight for freeee. if I wasn't tied down with so many committments, I'd totally drop everything and be traveling in Europe right now.
I'm so sorry you're having such a roller coaster of a time right now, Leesha! I don't want to tell you what to do, but if it were me, I think I'd be leaning toward the quitting early and coming to Chicago in May via free ticket if that's possible. Personally, I've been a workaholic my whole life and I'm finally starting to value and understand the importance of ME TIME. Sounds like you're like me and DEFINITELY need some LEESHA TIME! :D
And I hope I'm not inferring too much but it sounds like you really like the city which is AWESOME...does this mean maybe future plans to relocate? ;D
Aww I didnt know you wanted to leave MAC! You better still do videos! haha
Anyway, FOLLOW YOUR HEART <3 argh, long distance sucks :( But as someone said, it really does make you appreciate your time together a lot more.
I think I would hand in my notice a little early. That way you can have some time to get organised/sleep/relax before you go, or perhaps go a little earlier!
of course ill still do videos. honestly, im not allowed to talk about working for mac on videos, or theyll fire me. haha.. its one of those behind-the-curtain jobs.. glamorous on the outside, but (can be a) trainwreck from within. :/
