So, I adore the Olympics. It is not the sport of it- most of the time, sports bore me- but rather, the fact that for many of the athletes it is their dream, and there is so much drama, and they are so thrilled and pained and the emotion of it all. I just love it. I'll watch any sport on the Olympics (well, synchronized swimming and the baseball/

sorry, but I can't agree with you about the chinese olympic team. I'm asian and a lot of people think I'm a lot younger than I actually am, so I get that looks alone aren't proof. But there's a lot of evidence that at least two girls on the chinese team are too young. Provincial birth records available to the public say they are younger than what they claim. And in past competitions, the girls listed their age as being much younger, and then suddenly when they came to the olympics they got older by 2 or 3 years very mysteriously overnight. Hmmm...think about it

If there is cheating I am against it- it is only that it is said so much and so suspiciously- a lot by characters that do not seem to care so much for the truth, but rather than the chance to throw dirt. I had not heard that their ages had been reported as younger before- only that their size, weight, and previous behavior by the Chinese Olympic committee made people suspect that they were younger than they were.

I have heard that there is movement to create an international gymnastics passport for gymnasts in the future- and that sounds good, if not very useful for the present. My opinion at the moment is admittedly affected by my distaste at how the whole thing is covered on the papers and TV in the US, and I have not looked at many international sites, but given that the whole thing is being brought up by the news- I have not heard of the Olympic or gymnastic authorities investigating, it is hard to get a clear angle on the subject.
