how do you interpret it otherwise without using bad grammar? and also the "But" makes it seem that way, otherwise what is the "but" disagreeing with?

well after i saw your post initially i had to check my quote on ezboard to see how i wrote it out, and i checked a lyrics page and they wrote it the same way as me.

so i understand it as this:
when the world is sick, can't no one be well.
but i dreamt we were so beautiful and strong.

in that the world IS sick and no one can be well, but he had a dream that they were so beautiful and strong despite reality.

i've always heard it as "Can" instead of "can't". their site conveniently has all they lyrics but that part.

Did you make these, or did they come from the Silver Mt. Zion website? My right-click isn't working in Firefox, and I'm too lazy to visit the actual website.
