I'm not an Alan Moore fan either. I liked the movie "V for Vendetta" quite a bit, so I picked up the graphic novel. The movie had all the good stuff and dropped all the crap. Which was a lot.
Tried Watchmen. It was meh. Way overrated.
Alan Moore himself is a crazy man. Like, totally batshit crazy. 'Nuff said.
Pretty much agreed on all points. V for Vendetta is one of my favorite movies ever made. I was so shocked when I saw it, because...well, I've been a comic fan for awhile, and I never really liked Alan Moore, and then I went to see V, and it was like...they cut out all the stupid crap, and took the neat idea at its center(I'll say this: Alan Moore comes up with neat concepts. I never really have an issue with his basic stories(I think Watchmen is a neat concept too), I just have problems with all the skanky race and gender issues he has) and made it into this thoroughly fantastic film.
Yeah, I could basically watch 'V for Vendetta' forever. To me, it's the best example of a comic book adaption, because it's actually better than the source material.

Yeah, I could basically watch 'V for Vendetta' forever. To me, it's the best example of a comic book adaption, because it's actually better than the source material.
