Breakfast of Champions COMPLETELY stands up. I've actually not read a ton of Vonnegut (only Slaughterhouse 5, Cat's Cradle, and Breakfast), but Breakfast is my favourite of the three that I've read. It's tremendous.

Did anyone discuss it in relation to Barthes' 'death of the author' assertion? There's an interesting conversation to be had there.
