Phineas and Ferb were in their dorm, working on the final plans for the fair. Well, it should be stated that Phineas was more busy with his other plans that ran concurrent to the fair, but he was still working. He sat on the couch, scratching his head with the eraser of his pencil, head tilted in concentration as he worked on the lyrics to his song ( Read more... )

"Safely, six." He was still helping work on the plans, and he'd figured out how many rides they could fit in the parking lot safely; every ride needed its own space, especially since they moved.

He turned his head to look at Phineas. "How's all of that coming?" He gestured at the paper Phineas was writing on.

"Only six? For all that room? Jeez, either the back yard was bigger than I remember, or that area is a LOT smaller than it looks. Then again, we were building these for kids before, we're building them for essentially adults. Hrm." He laughed a little and shook his head. Well, at least Ferb was erring on the side of caution.

"This? This is a headache," He said, waving the notebook before setting down on the table nearby, and in the same motion picking up a set of contact juggling balls that he bought before they arrived on campus. He started spinning three in one hand while keeping the fourth in the other. "I'm wondering if I shouldn't just TELL her, and get it out of the way. I've never had writer's block this bad before."

"That, and the rides are a bit more elaborate now." He shrugged a little, showing the sketch and dimensions he'd drawn up. He tapped the measurements he'd taken, and shrugged. "We could likely squeeze in seven, but then where would we put the refreshments?"

Sitting up a little bit, he shrugged a little. "I think you have writer's block because you're too close to the source material." He smiled, shaking his head.

Phineas raised a brow to the question, "Well, there's refreshments tables on the other side of the quad, right here, across the way from the bandstand. But I suppose you're right." He shrugged faintly and smiled a little at Ferb's observation.

"I guess, but I don't want it to come off as sounding insincere. I want to write something that really works for what I feel. Something personal." He shrugged and sighed. "At least I got a couple verses before my brain broke. Y'know what I think? I think what I need is a break. I've been wracking my brain too hard over this." Phineas' mind had gone into overdrive since he decided to surprise Isabella, but the sad thing was, he was starting to second guess his plan. This was why he liked working on a quick and short time frame. The faster things got done, the less time he had to second guess his decisions, and there was no time to make mistakes.

"I don't think it will. And I really think that no matter what happens, she'll be focusing on the fact that you're asking her out more than anything else." He sort of assumed that was where things would lead to. And if they didn't, Ferb would be there to tell him that he was being an idiot.
