The quote in my title was spoken by a conservative Christian on the FOX news network, which is known for being uber conservative. This might strike you as very unusual, but not until you know who that quote was directed at: Rev. Fred Phelps. It's interesting how so many people consider them, as you said "über-conservative." While certain programs and anchors certainly do lean somewhat to the right, they are actually pretty middle-of-the-road, and they're certainly fair about giving both sides of any story.
They just SEEM über-conservative in comparison to the ultra-liberalism that permeates all of the other major news networks.
That said... Fred Phelps is a moron. I wouldn't wish AIDS on anyone, but I probably WOULD laugh if he came down with a bad case of it.

Phelps is a jackass. He's trying to protest a soldier's funeral somewhere around here soon, and people are having NONE of that. I just don't get it at all, he's such a psychopath.
