Jared Yaffe copped a plea deal today and was sentenced to life in prison, not up for parole for 45 years. Justice has been served.

So we had just finished eating Easter dinner when the house started shaking and rolling. 6.9 earthquake just south of the border. The shaking went on for about 30 seconds. No damage, but definitely the biggest quake I've felt in the 7+ years I've been here. Fun!

On O'Reilly this evening there was a segment on those wacky Phelps Baptists. Apparently, they WON a court case against the father of a dead Marine whose funeral they picketed. The father won the initial case, to the tune of $5,000,000. On appeal, not only was the ruling overturned, but the father was CHARGED FOR THEIR COURT COSTS... $16,000 worth. ( Read more... )

Well, Pelosi and Co. seem to have weaseled enough votes to get the senate health care bill thru the house. Anyone care to join me in singing the Soviet national anthem?

Tonight has confirmed a couple of things in my mind.

1. I need to get my own fucking place.

2. It is "liberals" and "progressives" who are bigoted and close-minded... not the other way around.

3. Some people just need to be punched in the face.

4. I don't know why I bother to have political debates with people.

5. Drinking less = lower

Being back in San Diego, sitting in front of a roaring fire with a glass of Absinthe and a good book.

Now I just need to find a job, an apartment, and I'm all set! :o)
