When I grow up...

Well, today we officially became adults. We picked up our new car and closed on the house. It was a day of transition, a rite of passage, and a day of solemn reflection on the ludicrous amount of money we just spent. But now we're definitely grown-ups. And our car is pretty spiffy too.

We ended up getting a 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5 S. We love it! It's got great power for a 4 cylinder engine, looks nice, gets good mileage, and is pretty darn big inside too.

We ended up getting the Altima. It compared well with the Accord and Camry in terms of mileage, safety, options, and price, and it had a better engine, looked cooler, and was more fun to drive. So we went with it!

But yeah, definitely a grownup now. On Saturday we dropped 5 grand on furniture. eegh.

I'm still around, I just don't use livejournal anymore. I guess when I became a full-time graduate student, I stopped having enough energy to write things about myself! I'm more about Facebook now - it's much lower maintenance :)

Well, it's good to know you are still around, at least. Maybe I'll get on facebook. So are you a psychologist now.. like see patients and stuff - or did you go a different route, like research psych or something? Always wondered about that. Do you still read your friends page on lj? Just wondering because I cleaned some inactive journals off my list, but if you still read, I'll add you back. How do I find you on facebook, if I decide to get an account there? If you don't mind telling me, of course.

I'm in my 5th year of a (hopefully) 6 year program. I'm working on my dissertation and I have a clinical internship year left to go! I do see patients, but after I'm done I'll likely be trying to get into academia.

As for livejournal, I occasionally check my friends page, but not with any regularity, so it's up to you whether you want to add me back or not. On Facebook I'm easy to find, I'm just me: Nick Forand :)
