Well, flowers are beautiful and smell pretty, they really just sit there. So I think I'd prefer chocolates. Then I could share them with people! Alternately I could sit in front of the TV and eat them all. *is greedy*

Yeah, excessive PDAs are weird, it's like the couple are desperately trying to prove to the world exactly how much in love they are or something.

Definitely. On the other hand, I get a bit annoyed when people can't deal with PDA at all. When I put my head on my boyfriend's shoulder or he puts his arm around my waist or we hold hands, that does not warrant comments of "Get a room". It doesn't.

... At least I don't think it does :(

I wouldn't yell get a room. Generally. If it were a running joke of some description I might, but you have to be fair to couples, they sometimes have impulses to show affection, and you just have to let it happen because it's sweet!

Get a room is reserved for people who sprawl over a couch making out like horny teenagers at drink fuelled party.
