Yayoi wasn't fairing much better. She too had tried to fly up with Darkdramon, her sensors reading a massive energy build up inside Chaosdramon before he launched the attack. They flew as fast as they could to avoid it but it wasn't enough. Her partner was struck by a large piece of earth from the left, sending Darkdramon crashing into Yayoi herself

Sadamitsu heard Yayoi call for him, but couldn't figure out where she was any better than she could locate him.
"Dammit! Junk, where the hell is she calling from?"
"Her voice cam from somewhere in this direction." A marker appeared in Sadamitsu's vision. "There is too much interference for me to be more specific."
"Good enough. Just stay there Kamishiro! I'm on my way!" He took off running, jumping over the debris in his path. "C'mon, Kulon!"
"Coming!" Kulon followed on the ground, much slower than he was in the air, but also less of an obvious target.
Yayoi heard him and stood still. "I'm here!" She called back in confirmation. She looked over to Darkdramon as she slowly got to her feet and brushed the debris off of her shoulder.
Soon Yayoi would see a familiar silhouette running towards her, sword in hand. Following shortly behind him was the silhouette of an enormous dragon. Sadamitsu appeared out of the swirling dust moments later.
Actually he didn't know - he was still sore from being knocked around, but he could still move everything and there wasn't blood running out of his armor, so that was close enough.
"This is gonna be a tough fight if that guy can keep doing this."
"Assuming that it has not moved significantly, it is located to your right. However, without being able to confirm its location, attempting to attack would merely waste energy and draw unnecessary attention to ourselves."
"He is right. We need to gain a visual. Perhaps we should retreat for now and formulate a plan of attack." She wasn't sure of this plan herself as retreat was normally not within her battle plans at all. But right now Sadamitsu's safety mattered most to her, not the target.
As Chaosmon spoke of killing, Pidonus realized he was almost guaranteed to shoot into the crowd. Immediately, she launched into the air to get as far away from them as possible, Ancient Mermaimon followng quickly.
The good news was, this left her clear of the blast, and kept her above the dust and smoke that formed.
The bad news was, she couldn't see a thing - all she had to go on was where she'd seen Chaosmon.
"Damn it!", she shouted into her D-Comm... Before quickly turning it on. "I'm above the dust cloud. I'd estimate it at at least 80 meters, and it's completely masking that thing!"
Ancient Mermaimon, for her part, pointed her trident to Chaosmon's last location. "Let's see if this locates him! Crystal Billow!" Immediately, droplets of water began to form around the trident, then crystalize, launching directly at Chaosmon at immense speed and in a quickly growing number.
Meta Knight had been tossed by the sheer force of the attack, but had managed to grab a hold of ChaosDukemon's cape. In the chaos, he'd seen the two Transformers and their partners thrown by debris, and that blue Hedgehog and his partner thrown flying by the winds...
Growling, the armored unfurled his cape, swallowing ChaosDukemon into the Galaxia Darkness, using it to move through the shadows to someplace more stable.
Xtreme had been thrown back with the explosion. Both feet and a hand landed on the ground as they almost seemed to skid back, sword gliding with it. The other hand held the shield over it's face to protect from flying debris.
"So much smoke and dust," two voices came from the fighter. They were lucky that they were protected by the helmet. Had either half not been, the results would have been far different and far more dangerous.
"DoubleJustimon! Where are you?" the figure shouted. It couldn't see anything at all. Unfortunately, the smoke and dust were only the minor problem to the situation at hand.
"We're here!" Double Justimon cried, leaping out of the debris. He landed beside his partners, holding his side. They weren't hurt badly, but they needed to rest for a moment.
"It's at least good to know you're okay for now," Xtreme told their partner. They could barely see through the dust to see the light injury to the side. Sure it probably wasn't bad but any injury could prove hazardous.
The fighter took a defensive stance close to the digimon. Deep down there would be trouble. With the severe lack of information they were able to get, both halves of the rider knew there would be trouble.
Dynamo, as soon as he could, started to do what he does best. Run the fuck away. That was until he heard Vile's voice, that actually made Dynamo stop.
And cuss to himself and his partner who has been keeping up with him this whole time.
Which is a bad move, as the attack from Chaosmon was way to close for comfort. Thankfully, for Dynamo, Gokumon snatched the reploid up to protect the unarmored fellow from getting too beat up. That didn't work too well, as the Ultimate digimon and Dynamo end up going flying and when they make contact with something solid?
It happens to be the statue of the Royal Knight Duftmon. The poor thing never stood a chance.
