Cosplay for houses part 2
I finally finished another part of my Cumber Cave. I'm slowly filling up the place. I got my mom's old recliner, it makes a great replica of Dr. Watson's chair. The wonderful Baker Street sign was given to me by

And you are a great mother. With time, the homework will get easier and take less time - at the moment, the fighting with you and it takes energy out of her and you both, and it sucks, but one day the switch will flip and she will work willingly and eventually, she will thank you.

It's not that she really fights me, she just seems so depressed and miserable. With her having ADD, it takes twice as much time and effort for her to learn something. I worry I get too impatient with her. It's all I can do on somedays, not to yell, I just have to walk away. With hayley, everything was so simple and easy, but with Laney, it's like pouring water into a bucket full of holes. I want to just pull my hair out and scream.

Gosh, this is so awesome!
I'm thinking of putting my daughter in private school next year, (I think she's just a bit younger than your girl), but I'm concerned about the same things you are. It seems that public schools often teach to the lowest common denominator...
Good luck to you both and keep us updated. :D

Laney will be 13 in Oct. our public schools here are so terrible. I knew that if she would ever have a hope of getting a good education, I had to put her in private. Just for example, my niece is in public, and they been in school for 6 weeks, and they still haven't gotten their books. It's ridiculous! She hasn't had any homework either, while my child is loaded down every night. The work load is worse in private, but at least I know they are trying to teach her something. So put yours in private, if you can. Let us know ;)
