Get whole shrimp and boil the heads and shells for about 10 min then simmer for about another 20 or till the water is reduced by about half and add to the crock pot.. After you strain the broth ofcourse.
Ohhhh, ya, that would definitely make it more flavorful. Better than just chicken broth. I'll have to see the next time if I can get whole shrimp and do it that way. Thanks!
Unfortunately at the 'normal' grocery stores they always have them shelled/cleaned. But I can probably go to the chinese market and get them whole. Or I could go crawfish/crawdad 'fishing' this summer and use them instead. It all sounds good. Thanks again.
