It turns out that my calendar-reading skills are made of weapons-grade fail, and so the family are back on Friday, not Saturday as I originally thought.
Conflicting emotions:
Happy: yay, I'll see them a day sooner!
Anxious: crap, I hope I'll have the house sorted in time. -

Hah, my sister just added me on Facebook. May not sound too big a deal but there's rather a large age gap between us: I remember changing her nappies ;) -

I went to the local pool for a swim today, the first time doing so since I came to Montréal nearly three years ago. I never realized it was free to use otherwise I would probably have gone much sooner, all I needed to do was prove that I live here, pay my taxes. Muriel and the kids are off to France until the end of the month. For the kids it should be an adventure, seeing their home country again for the first time in over two years, Gabrielle probably doesn't even remember the last time she was there and she's very excited to visit.
