I randomly mention that my birthday was coming up two weeks ago, and today I got a wonderful cake courtesy of one of the students' moms. Everybody loves a reason to have a party, right? It's a law firm investigating claims involving vinyl chloride. I just did a problem in class over this yesterday. My eyebrow is very much raised right about now...

I'm not dead...I'm just burying my nose in a book with "questionable quality" while balancing work and play.

Work's good, busy when it is, and relatively easygoing when I have time. Everyone's really nice there, and I'm still learning which chemicals to avoid (sulfuryl chloride), and what happens when some equipment just won't work anymore. Work ( Read more... )
