It rained yesterday so there were no processions :-(

But I leave for Rome tomorrow!

It stopped raining around 6pm today so all the evening processions went out! It was so cool! We saw like four of them in a row. It was just incredible...like nothing I've ever seen. Each procession is run by a different cofradia and all the participants wear the same color uniforms. There is the traditional cape and KKK looking pointy hat/mask ( Read more... )

Ooh and I forgot- I heard really loud music outside last night so I went to the window and looked out. They were practicing for semana santa :-) There were like 25 guys under a big platform walking slowly down the street. It was really cool. It's the second time I've seen groups of them practicing.

Sooooo on Friday morning Steph and I woke up early to pop into the National Gallery. We only had about 20 minutes so we went downstairs to the "Manet to Picasso" exhibit and saw Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" and Monet's "Water-Lily Pond" (which was INCREDIBLE!)
