Spend all you have for loveliness,
Buy it and never count the cost;
For one white singing hour of peace
Count many a year of strife well lost,
And for a breath of ecstasy
Give all you have been, or could be.

Every spring, I take this advice to heart when the daffodils bloom. This has been a wonderful year for daffs; they have been blooming for almost three weeks and every couple of days, I refresh the vase full of them on the kitchen table.

They are either solid sunshine or God's trumpets. Either way, I love them.
