Home after a nearly 13 hour day on the Hilton project.  Finished the cameras on the 5th floor of the garage and spent some time up in the air in the lobby tracking down where the existing camera cables go. So I find myself home again after a night out, and thinking about where my life is going, or not, for that matter.

I really need to get back into the habit of writing here on a regular basis, as my brain tends to clog up with things and when I do manage to sit down and write it only results in a massive stream of consciousness...  Either that or I  ( Read more... )

I hate writing these things. A week from tomorrow (well, today I guess), marks the one year anniversary of my father's passing. I now find myself listening to a goth/industrial music stream I've assembled from my favorite artists on pandora.com, writing an entry about the death of a man I barely knew.

Just got the confirmation from my mom.  My dad died about 2 hours ago of a massive heart attack.

I'm heading home from Orlando as soon as we can coordinate something where I don't have to drive. Ugh.

Work has been... annoying. Still having trouble getting any projects completed, for one reason or another - parts, zero availability of tech support, cables cut by non-English-speaking garden crews...  At least it seems the issues the water plant seem to have been fixed.
