Rewind to early December. My dad has been seeing his dermatologist for years now after a run in with a rather severe melanoma. Ok, so there's been a lot going on and I haven't had a chance to sit down and write about it, let alone think it all through.  Here's the short version.  I had a great Thanksgiving weekend with Steve. I just got home from day one of show load-in for the Evanescence tour. It's a very simple and clean layout, nicely done. It's just a bitch to move all the bits and pieces into the right places. :) It's cool though, I'm working with two really quite cute boys on the lighting rig. Another not so memorable week, followed by another memorable, expensive, and extremely annoying weekend.

I got Truck back on Thursday, with the new(ish) engine, at only 22,000 miles. Nice eh? You'd think I'd get another 50,000 miles or so out of all this, especially considering that the engine came out of another S-10 that met an untimely demise ( ( Read more... )

So Truck is still in the shop.  Pauly found a replacement engine up in Tampa, and it was being shipped down, due to arrive yesterday.  Was.  It fell off the truck and cracked.  The search continues. *sigh*

And on another note... I'm sick, again.  Hope it's just a cold. Bleh.

Truck isn't doing well at all. Apparently he overheated quite severely yesterday, and will require at least a week's attention from the mechanic. He is repairable, but for the time being I'm limited in my travels.

It's kinda scary, I'm actually working off an outline for this so I don't forget stuff and get side tracked. High school *was* useful for something after all...
