So, the Tories won the election. And have taken this as a mandate to scrap the Human Rights Act, force the disabled into work, and continue their drive to make the rich richer and the poor homeless

I'm not sure they necessarily want to make the poor homeless: if people starve to death or resort to suicide at home it's less untidy on the streets and they can carry on pretending that 'we're all in this together'. *grimaces*
But, yeah, having graduated and started working in the public sector towards the end of an 18-year period of Tory rule and seen the impact back then, I am dreading what they are going to do this time and feeling a need to Do Something.

Well, just over a third of them. I'm still in shock to be honest, but definitely agree that fighting (and more importantly persuading) is the best response.
