One, You don't need help...We'll probably name our first dog Rusty, or Newman lol
Two, Rufus isn't a poodle name, it's a big dumb dog name, like our old rottie was almost Rufus, and they don't get dumber than that dog.
When is this adoption going to take place?

Cool!!! You are not mental...although this is coming from Miss Hyper-obsessed. Actually, you should get two and name them Gred and Forge (and yes I intentially spelled their names that way).

Speaking of Weasley theories...I have another proof against Ron dying. The quote is "...from now on, I don't care if my tea leaves spell die, Ron, die, I'm chucking them in the bin where they belong." Since his jokes tend to come true, then his tea leaves will say that, but it won't really happen because the tea leaves aren't an accurate way of seeing into the future.

My other take on it all is that if JKR kills off Ron and/or Hermione at some point in the next two books, then what is going to be left for him when he has fulfilled the prophesy? It would be like, yay Voldie is gone..Boo everyone I cared about is dead. That would be a sucky way to end the series.

Not that my 2 cents counts.... spudfish January 5 2005, 20:45:09 UTC
but, I like Rufus. All I could think about upon first seeing the name was Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Then again, I'm not the best to ask about naming pets, I always name my pets after gods and goddesses or other mythological creatures...Siren, Osirus, Thanatos, Hypnos.

I'd go with Rufus or Fred.

Really.
