I am (as of an hour and a half ago) teaching a additional course this term. The original instructor (who really really wanted the course, and that's the only reason I didn't get it) has become too sick to teach it, and I really love the course (and can't say no) so I agreed to take it over. I'm both excited and unbelievably stressed - she's already ( Read more... )

Haha! When they found out I had taught 9 courses in a 1-year period, they completely flipped out!

This is actually not that crazy (from their perspective) since I did 2 last term, and only 1 so far this term. Though they actually have me down for potentially 4 in the fall, so they have to decide. I hope they decide I get what I want. I'm too much of a pushover to be a good bargainer.

Also, contract renewal time may end up occurring around $OTHER LIFE-CHANGING EVENT time...

You could always schedule some make up lectures in evenings.

Hmm... interesting... It's a pretty massive class though, so the chances of everyone being available are slim. Also I could use some tutorials for make-up, though I usually use tutorials in this class for (useful and well-attended) problem sessions. I could yoink a couple of those with little impact though.

Breathe.

Along with this, remember to eat. We want you to look beautiful in your gown, not skin and bones.... Oh yes and the previous hints of pregnancy to come should be when D is at a healthy body weight as well. So remember to breathe and eat. (Funny, you usually don't have to remind brides to eat)
