Alcohol. I'm unsure where the term came from, but its an old slang for alcohol or moonshine. I think perhaps because the shepards usually "stank" to high heaven, and they would drink quite a bit of the time... and since they probably didn't have money for "normal" booze, they probably made it from whatever they had... so I suppose, guessing, the "normal" people came to calling moonshine/booze sheep dip.

My mom used to call booze sheep dip, which is where I got it. :-)

yea I'm still a crazy instigator nut job. in a real college now, my own apartment down in Salisbury Maryland about a half hour away from the beach.
