Ah, dreams of flying. I've had them before and I'll have them again. The closest I can come to that experience in 'reality' is learning how to pilot- which is what I'm doing.

I want an iPod too; you have to tell me about it when you get it.

Yay flying! I got my Private Pilot's license a little over a year ago. The best advice I can give is join AOPA and get their legal aid. Long story, but things can happen when you're green that you can't control, and AOPA is an amazing tool.

the only thing i've ever seen that gives a good indication of how i feel in my flying dreams is the way Ness jumps around in Smash Brothers on N64.

I don't know if the message is as specific as social life restraints, though that may very well be part of it. Perhaps it is a reflection of a lack of freedom in general. Another theme could be the loss of joy in once wonderful things due to a monotonous lifestyle. All feelings and states are relative... learn to enjoy the full range and you hold a power greater than all the material wealth in the world.

Have you ever heard anyone analyze a dream and say something to the effect of: This means you are really, really happy with your life ? That is one of my core doubts to the concept of classical dream interpretation... eh.
