So Friday was our big road march. We had to do at a minimum: 12 miles in 4 hours. If we wanted to be hardcore we could go for our German Armed Forces Proficency Badge (GAFPB) standard: for my age group that is 18.7 miles in 5 hours. I decided to go for the GAFPB. I have a great feeling about this year! I am all moved into my suite at school and am really excited about starting my senior year (yikes! that is scary). A ton has happend since I last updated. Its an interesting time in my life right now. The parents marriage is basically over, and yet I've never felt closer, and at the same time more distant, to the both of them. Mom visited me yesterday on her way to her college reunion (she took me out to lunch). We had a great talk, it was like things were normal, and I guess between us they are. ( Read more... )

Well I went home these past few days, and I gotta say it was mighty weird. On Thursday I helped my dad move a bunch of furniture out of our house and down to the house in Hornell.
