Hello all,

It still doesn't feel real, but it's time for dmhgficexchange to go as gracefully into the night as we can manage. We made the decision to retire last year from having exchanges for a number of reasons that really boil down to not having the time needed to commit. Anyone running a community like dmhgficexchange knows this is no part-time gig. My life was different

Thank you for all your time and hard work in running such a fantastic exchange! I wish I'd discovered the world of fanfiction, Dramione, and you much sooner so I might have participated in more than just this final exchange, but there are archives worth of fantastic stories here that I will be reading through for months/years to come, I am sure.

You have made this fandom a fun and creative place to be, and I think we are all greatly indebted to each of you for your dedication.

I'll have to echo all of rzzmg sentiments. I only found this com last year and enjoyed EVERY SINGLE entry from the last round and honestly was looking forward to more. But life comes first, even *SHOCK HORROR* over the world of our imaginations. Thank you so much for all you've done over the years which I'm sure was not an easy effort (I've held contests myself and completely understand what it's like chasing authors, posting, making sure everythings 'just right') and I'm sure I'll love looking back over the many entries and finding new authors to stalk love all over!

I've been around Dramione since 2006 and although I haven't participated in every exchange since then, I can tell you that I have watched them and enjoyed them immensely. I appreciate every last little thing each of you has done to make the fandom a bigger and better place. Your hard work has not been in vain. *hugs*

This fic exchange has been a big part of making me a better writer little by little, year by year. I made a lot of friends through this exchange and I hope this year will not be the exception. Thanks for all the wonderful gifts people have made me and thanks for all the lovely comments on the gifts I created.

Thank you so much to the mod team for making this exchange happen! So many classic stories have come out of the exchange, and I've utterly loved having such a great collection of stories at my fingertips. I'm so pleased that I arrived in fandom just in time to read and comment on the last round of the exchange. I'm looking forward to spending more time going back through the archives and re-reading my favorites.
