Engrossing story - makes me want to know more about Mouse. It's got a very real feeling except for her final explanation to her brother - that doesn't ring as true in terms of how one child would talk to another. It's clearly for the reader. LOVE the last couple of lines - "She resisted...never safe."
(FYI, it's cast not caste, and trailed not tailed.)
Thank you. It is a true story... And I was almost 16 to my brother's 12 My brother would've been described as special needs. TY on the grammer! Not my strong suit! 🐁✌
It's good therapy for me to write about Pop and his alcohol days. He sobered up right before I turned 18. He died of a cardiac/massive stroke event 2 weeks after my 21st birthday. We had 'made up' by then, or I think I'd have more guilt. 🎈✌🐁
