The stink swelled as L's corpse erased the gap between them. There were no puffs of hot breath whispering over Light even if they were standing nose to nose. The very uncomfortable sense of having one's face shoved into a week-old pail of garbage left in the sun washed over Light and he battled his reflexes-- to gag, to tear, to grimace. No more weakness would be shown, Light would not allow it. Circumstance could chop down the walls of science. Light's poise would be left standing if he had any say in it ( ... )

“Oh, Yagami-kun,” L whispered, turning his head from the sheets to look at Light, “you are so warm.”

That did it. A bolt of energy crackled through Light. He propelled himself away from his bed bogie, only to flatten himself against the headboard. L watched and Light supposed if he had eyeballs, there would be some glint of amusement dancing in them.

Breathing as if he had suffered a marathon, Light pressed his slick palms against the cool wood of the board. He swallowed and gulped because he knew if he spoke now, all that would issue forth would be a series of squeaks. He would have to hear L laugh again.

Eventually, he said, “You are here to kill me.”

The “man” laughed gently. “I am not, Yagami-kun.”

“Then why did you…?”

“Yagami-kun’s thought process is boring when he is scared. Why do you think I did that?”

I am also childish and hate to lose. For a dead man, L could throw a childish tantrum ( ... )

“That is what awaits me?” Light wondered, wincing when his lips brushed something chilled and clammy. “Purgatory? Is that what you are trying to scare me with? Is that it? You returned to give me a fright?” He glared into the double hollows that used to house L’s eyes. “I’ve been to purgatory, L. This is purgatory.”

“Spare me,” the elder muttered. “I wandered for some time. Eventually I came across another soul. He called himself ‘King.’ What he told me was most enlightening. Do you know what it was?”

“You expect me to know?”

“The reason for my restlessness had everything to do with you. My death, your kill, was all an act of domination. The intent was to conquer. The smile said it all.”

I win, you were wrong, I was Kira, you lost, L, you lost.Light wanted to smash his head into the bed's board. Instead he said, ignoring his weakened voice, “What do you want from me? What do you want ( ... )

“It appears to have the function of, but is not, a Cymothoa exigua. Cymothoa exigua is a crustacean and that organism is decidedly a slug.”

Light’s perspicacity, bulldozing aside all escape strategies, could only muster the feeble thought of ‘Then how are you still speaking?’“I am slightly disappointed: it is not a ghost slug. That is a real species, did you know that ( ... )

The final explosion was unlike anything he had experienced before: a wholly unique experience in that the spilling of L’s seed did not feel at all like hot spurts of liquid. Light, cock half-awakened, puzzled over this feeling as he wondered where the fitted sheet went ( ... )

I spotted this on a retweet and I read the entire thing and I can't say I have the stomach to read it again and I can't say it turned me on much but god this was RIVETING and beautifully written. Nicely done. o_o

I always ship Light/dead!L but it was really interesting to read it with undead!L. For someone that ships Light/dead!L this is like adding a whole new level of terror, because something that should be completely lifeless in Light's possession is now possessing him. The mutual mindfuck continues. Love it.

....I love you with all the spiders under my skin and all the rotting strands of flesh upon my fingers for this, anon. This was greusome in the most entertaining and fantastic way. Fantastic, Anon, Fantastic. All of your comparasins were so... sense-oriented and really made me smile, for I am an insane zombie fanatic and this was positively incredible.

You are amazing <3.

Holy Fucking Shit. anonymous August 8 2010, 03:40:45 UTC
Anon, that was written amazingly. My mouth is still hung open in shock. I'm not a big zombie fan, but the idea of an undead L coming back to Light for revenge was what interested me. I must say, though, I was doing fine until I read the part about him kissing Light and all the bugs coming into him mouth. FUCK, anon, you could seriously be a horror movie writer, you're AMAZING.
This may seem surprising, but when L put his hand on Light's stomach and said, "Light, you're so warm," I actually felt so sad and sorry for L. Had I not been so shocked and horrified at what was to come next I probably would have cried!
You, my dear, are fantastic. This was truely horrifingly amazing. I really hope I don't have nightmares tonight, but I'll let you know if I do. ;) Thanks for writing and posting, you're an amazing writer!

Oooh, this gave me chills!
When I first read the request I doubted that someone would fill this, but you did, as the other reviewers wrote, an absolutely amazing job.
The whole horror scenario is disturbingly exciting, especially because L isn't some mindless zombie-thing like they are most of the times in movies etc., but remains so utterly in character.
