Inspired by the ending of the Director's Cut anime:

Light gets a guy (can be Matsuda or Ryuk or anyone else you want) to fuck him on L's grave. Rough, partially-clothed sex, aggressive uke!Light, lots of morbid death imagery, and naturally he's thinking of L the whole time (but in denial over missing him).

Matsuda came back as Raito stood beside the grave.

Raito had half-expected it. The others would respect Raito’s need for privacy, for time to himself to say goodbye but Matsuda didn’t think like that. He would think that all Raito needed was a hug, someone telling him that it would all be okay, that they would all be okay. (that Matsuda would be okay) If it had been Matsuda’s “best friend”, he would have been wanting cuddles from everyone around him. That was what Matsuda was.

“Raito-kun?”

Raito didn’t look round at him and after a moment, felt the awkward warmth of Matsuda’s hand on his shoulder. He still didn’t look around. It seemed almost impossible to take his eyes of the bed of earth that now covered L’s body.

L never did sleep, did he? L always watched …He must have twitched at the ridiculous thoughts because Matsuda’s hand fell from his shoulder and he mumbled “I … sorry … ” and Raito heard the sound of him turning to go. An odd whim

Matsuda was kissing his neck now, frantic little kisses and Raito let his head fall back, arched his body, pressing them together and without thinking about it, he whispered “Fuck me.” and Matsuda gave a great shudder and moaned and whispered “No, Raito-kun, we can’t, we can’t - ” but that wasn’t what Raito wanted to hear. He kissed Matsuda again and pulled him down so they were kneeling and suddenly it was so clear to him, so perfect, the final, fitting way to say goodbye, the way to show L that he didn’t care, that he’d never fucking cared -

“Fuck me,” he whispered again, staring into Matsuda’s lust-addled eyes and Matsuda moaned and shook his head but his hands were fumbling with Raito, feeling his skin and reaching to unfasten Raito’s trousers and oh yes, so easy, so perfect, it had to be Matsuda because Matsuda had liked L but he liked Raito more, the whole world would like Raito more in the end

“Oh God!” Matsuda cried out and his fingers dug into Raito’s hips and Raito arched again to show his pleasure and gasped out “Yes, like that, harder, Matsuda-san!” and Matsuda gave another of those dizzying sobs of pleasure and their bodies were moving and Raito turned his gaze down to the earth, staring at it and watching their shadows move over it; can you see this L? Can you feel it, all the way down there? Do you see how little I miss you?

“Oh God!” Matsuda whispered and he moved back then, struggling with his dishevelled clothing with trembling hands. Raito used the gravestone to pull himself upright, staring at the disturbed earth beneath him, looking at the sticky reminder he’d left behind.

(L was always so fastidiously clean about it all, refusing to sleep in sweaty sheets, preferring their fucks against walls, on the floor because it was easier to clean up … )

Both he and Matsuda were filthy, dirt on their knees and Raito wished they’d managed to get his trousers totally down, wished he’d felt the softness of the earth on his bare skin. Dirt under his fingernails, up his wrists, smeared over his palms, on the edges of his shirt cuffs.

He slowly began to fix his own clothing, furious with himself for suddenly feeling small and lonely and wanting to go home. He wasn’t some fucking child, he was a God, what was the matter with him

I love how you portrayed Light's fucked up state of mind, with his erratic thoughts and the way he kept comparing Matsuda to L. (Poor Matsuda, I kept imagining him with this kicked-puppy expression. XD) And this: Ryuk was crouched on top of it, like a monstrous gargoyle, his wings spread and his shadow longest of all, spreading out and bringing everything it touched to early night. was such a striking image, it gave me chills. Awesome ending.

I read this a while back, but I have to come back and say:

You, good anon, have the honor of having written the only gay!Matsuda fic I have ever fully enjoyed. I am such an adamant defender of straight!Matsuda, but something about this fic just made so much SENSE. Maybe it's because I am also an adamant defender of Light-needs-a-sexual-distraction-after-L-died, and this summed it up so nicely. And Matsuda wanting everything to be okay, and not wanting to offend... very IC.

I love Matsuda, he is excatly like he was in the manga, you described it very well! when I read the kink request I didn't think it will be possible to have a logical 'plot' with that creepy description! but you manage to develope a interesting plot and that is everything I want in a good fic!
