The ropes that were digging into his hands were unpleasant but not as unpleasant as the blindfold around his eyes. It wasn’t even that his eyes were a perfect weapon, a grace from his God, but simply because he hated not being able to see and hated not knowing where the next blow might come from. It brought back too many memories.

There hadn’t been any blows for a few minutes now. Perhaps his captor was waiting, trying to get Mikami hyper-tense before delivering the next blow. Mikami swallowed and ordered his muscles to relax, trying to take deep breaths. He could feel blood trickling down his chin. Had one of the punches split his lip or even knocked a tooth out? He wasn’t sure. It hurt.

“I don’t know anything,” Mikami said, forcing his voice to stay steady, blank, ignoring the alcohol that was already coursing through his system. “I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want from me.”

A sharp blow to the back of his head.

“Tell me about Kira.”

“I don’t know what you want to know about Kira!”

“Yes, you fucking do! Don’t piss me off again!”

“I don’t!” Mikami cried. “I wish I did! I wish I knew him, I wish I was blessed but I don’t, I swear it!”

Sort of the truth, lies coated in truth. Mello probably wouldn’t believe it. Or it would anger him more. Another sharp blow to the back of his head and Mikami groaned in pain, closing his eyes behind the blindfold and biting down on his already bleeding lip. The pain felt duller now. Was that because of the wine? If only he hadn’t had to drink …

“You make me sick!” Mello hissed. “You stupid fuckers who think Kira’s a saviour. What’s wrong, didn’t get enough cuddles as a child or something

“Mmm,” Mello murmured and pushed his hips slightly into Mikami. “Oh, you’re the masochistic type, aren’t you? I think you’ll like this

“C’mon,” Mello cajoled, fingers stroking, mouth teasing. “You’re a repressed little thing, aren’t you? No one will blame you if you give up some secrets during sex. It happens, you wouldn’t have been able to help it. You’ve only had one girl in your whole life, right? Some slut in the office who probably had a boyfriend anyway and was just using you for a substitute. No one expects you to be able to resist this sort of torture … ”

He bit to make his point and Mikami tried to bite back a wail. Everything was on fire, he just wanted to be touched, he couldn’t bear this, it hurt and it was a good hurt but it was pain all the same. He wasn’t like this, he wasn’t, he didn’t care about sex so why did he feel like this

So I can't help but wonder if you're the same person writing all the other wonderful Mikami fic of the past few weeks, but whether you are or aren't, this was scrumptious. I love how even though it's out of canon it can slide up with canon nicely, and Mikami's repression and helplessness was just gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous hot.

I'm the original poster of this request, and I must say that that was phenomenal. Your characterization was spot-on, and the story itself was very suspenseful and well-done. God, I love jerk!Mello and unwillinguke!Mikami.

Also, commented on this bit when I got to that line, because I knew I wouldn't be coherent enough to do it when I was done:

Thank you for including that bit. I have OCD, but it's nowhere near as bad as Mikami's. So if I'm unable to drink after other people (for that exact reason), it would definitely bother Mikami. But I wasn't expecting you to include that little detail, so thanks for doing so. Makes it feel a bit more real.
