I agree with earlier anon about the problems with whipped cream in this scenario. However, the rest of this prompt makes me happy in my pants, so assuming that OP is ok with the lack of whipped cream I will probably give this one a go.

Not nessicerlly. Assuming this takes place on the roof, perhaps L went up there and decided to take something sweet with him. The only thing he could get at the moment was whipped cream in a can. He's eating it, but then the rain came and now it's melting the cream and making it run down his fingers and Light just wants to lick it slowly off L's fingers...and then suck on them to get every last drop.

L: "I thought Light-kun didn't like sweets?"

Still can't make myself belive in the wipped cream. It just feels damn out of place both regarding the weather and the mood they had going in that scene.

Ahhh... not OP, so I can't really say, but sex in the rain doesn't necessarily have to be THAT scene. I mean, I'm not trying to sway you especially since I'm FAIRLY indifferent on the request, but I'm just trying to throw out options.

Eh, guess you are right. It is just that when rain comes up in DN it is authors refering to that scene in the anime. So it has almost become an atomatic response to turn mt thoughs in that direction.

Hello, I am the anon who was considering doing this, and I do believe that you, sir or madam, have solved my problems. I always think of that specific scene whenever L and Light in the rain is mentioned, but come to think of it there's no reason why it has to be that one. So thank you.

Now I just have to wrestle with the problem of how to successfully incorporate Matsuda into the story... lol fail.
